Showcase of Muzik Sedaman by Kadayan Community

MIRI: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) in partnership with MYY Living Arts will be organizing a Music in Traditions that will showcase on Muzik Sedaman from the Kadayan community on February 4th, from 2PM to 5PM at Coco Cabana Miri.

The showcase will highlight the cultural heritage through music presentation by the Pertubuhan Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas (PAWE) Sibuti. Music in Tradition is a segment that celebrates and highlights artists who are working in their own cultural heritage—either in its original form or in a modernised one. Additionally, the general public would have the opportunity to interact with the practitioners directly. One traditional music from each of the ethnic groups that make up Sarawak, particularly those who reside in Miri, will be included in each presentation.

This session is completely free to attend and open to the general public in Miri. It will also be live streamed on the Facebook pages of MYY Living Arts and Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak. Visitors to this session will be able to interact with the cultural practitioners and experience their performances in person at Coco Cabana Miri.
